Refund Policy

Digital code is not returnable, so this sets out the specific cases where you get your money back anyway, when the code does not build, when it lacks what was advertised, and when custom work you commissioned is not delivered.

Last updated 18 August 2026

The short version

  • Code packages are non-refundable by default, because delivery is instant and cannot be undone.
  • Except when the package fails to build or is missing a feature it was advertised as having. Then you get a full refund.
  • Custom software requests are different: your deposit is held in escrow, we hold your money, and neither you nor the developer can touch it, until you approve the work. If the work is not delivered, you choose how it is resolved.

1. Code package purchases

When you are entitled to a refund

Within 48 hours of purchase, if either is true:

  • the package does not build or run following its own included instructions; or
  • it is missing a capability the listing advertised.

Raise it through the “report a problem” control on the listing, describing what you did and what happened. We re-run verification against the package you received. If that confirms the failure, you are refunded in full as store credit, with no fees deducted, and the amount is deducted from the seller's pending balance.

Why store credit

Store credit is instant, carries no processing cost, and is worth the full price you paid. If you would rather have the money returned to your card, say so when you report the problem and we will arrange it, that route takes longer and the payment processor's fee is not recoverable.

What is not refundable

  • Changing your mind, buying the wrong licence tier, or buying something you already owned.
  • The package working as described but not suiting your project. Read the description, the preview and the verification report before buying.
  • Breakage caused by your own changes, or by a third-party service or dependency changing after you bought it. This is what the reporting route below is for instead.

When a package stops working later

Report it. Three separate buyers reporting the same listing flag it and give the seller 7 days to publish a fix. If a fix passes review, everyone gets the updated version at no cost. If none arrives, the listing is delisted so nobody else buys it, and your own access is never removed. Anything you have bought stays downloadable from your library permanently.

2. Custom software requests

The deposit for a request is held in escrow, meaning we hold it on your behalf and it is not paid to the developer until you approve the work. The ordinary case therefore needs no refund at all.

If you dispute a submission, the developer has 24 hours to patch and resubmit. If that window closes without an acceptable fix, you choose one of:

  • Relist, the request goes back to the board and we keep holding your deposit for another developer.
  • Store credit, the full budget is returned to your balance, with no fees deducted.
  • Card refund, returned to the card you paid with, less the payment processor's non-refundable cost.

There is no fee on top of a budget to refund: a requester deposits their budget and nothing else. The platform's 12% + 75¢ fee is withheld from the developer on approval, so an unapproved request has had no fee taken from it at all.

3. Pro subscriptions

  • Cancel at any time. You keep Pro benefits, instant payouts, priority placement in the review queue, and fix reports included, until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Part-months are not refunded, because the benefits applied throughout the month.
  • If you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice, write to us and we will refund it in full to your card.

4. Verification report unlocks

A report unlock ($2.99) buys the detailed fix plan for one report. It is delivered immediately and is non-refundable, except where the report contains no fix plan at all, which cannot happen, because a report with nothing to unlock does not offer the purchase.

5. Tax on a refund

Prices on this site exclude tax. Where tax is due it is added at checkout. On most sales the seller is the merchant of record and accounts for it; on a sale to a North Carolina buyer iTechVista is treated as the retailer by state law and accounts for it instead. Either way a refund follows the same route in reverse: a full refund returns the tax as well as the price.

The one exception is the payment processor's non-refundable cost on a card refund, which is described above and is charged on the pre-tax amount. A store credit refund has no such deduction, so it returns the full amount every time.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs the platform a fee whatever its outcome, and every case this policy covers we can settle faster ourselves. Accounts that raise chargebacks for purchases they have downloaded and kept may be suspended.

7. How to ask

Use the report control on the listing where there is one, so the request is attached to the purchase. Otherwise write to our contact form with the licence key or order reference. We aim to respond within two business days.
